Hi! I'm Meggy and welcome to my substack!

Hi! I’m excited that I am here and that you are here reading this. Let’s have a chat! I’ll tell you about me and maybe you’ll tell me a little about yourself, share your substack and we’ll be friends.

ABOUT ME:

I was raised in Texas, but have lived and loved in Oregon over a decade and while I love Oregon deeply (and have ancestry here going back hundreds of years, I long to be in Ireland and other cold, Celtic lands. I’ve been a spiritual seeker as long as I can remember. I think I came into this life chasing after the thing that animates and moves through us all.

In my younger years I was a conservative Christian, but the scales fell from my eyes and I was awakened to the truth that whatever you devote to God or Goddess goes to the same place. In the beginning I couldn’t even contemplate that there was a Goddess but, as I aged, I could see how out of balance the world was and, with some research, learned that she was here well before the male forms. I am now devoted to her and hoping to help bring some balance to us all. Right now it seems even more out of balance as many conservatives try to push back women to a place where they have little power, but that is a symptom that the imbalance is trying to right itself, so we need to keep working.

. I am taking her Mythic Body course and it has made a HUGE difference in my life. Jennifer has been an amazing teacher and leader into my psyche with Irish mythic personalities. I have felt myself drawn to the Morrigan: full of energy to want to encourage others to fight over all the horrible things we are experiencing on Turtle Island (the United States). I am still encouraging others to fight but, I’ve left that raven over the battlefield energy and am more interested in putting positive energy into the world, solutions, and love for now. Also, during the course, I have learned about, who I would call, my soul sister Mis (pronounced Mish) from ancient Irish history.
Mis was a wild woman and I am currently writing a book about her. I look forward to sharing more about her in upcoming posts. I hope you will come by and learn all about her and my imagining about who she became and how she was healed.
